Translator Week 7
Hi everybody! My name is Marta and this week I am in charge of the Translator role.
In this case, I have to choose the five core terms related to the subject which have been worked in the activity. Here they are...
- Hour of Code: The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.
- Podcast: a fully contextual and downloadable audio file that anyone can listen to at any time - either via a podcast app, website, or smart speaker.
- Coding: it is an action that involves using a specific language such as programming in order to create codes that in turn help develop activities.
- Computational thinking: is a problem-solving process in a way that enables us to use a computer and other tools to help solve them. In addition, is the step that comes before programming.
- Anchor: is the app we have used to create our podcast. With it, you can send it through Spotify, host it online and distribute it to your favorite listening platforms.
If you asked about the weaknesses and strengths we have discovered during this week we recognize some of them immediately. On one hand, we organize the task so efficiently so we did it in a fast and effective way. However, as we recorded individually the audios had some differences we couldn't sort out. We also had some difficulties with making an enjoyable podcast with so much information.
In short, we have learned how difficult is to create a podcast and we have discovered so interesting things about digital Computation Thinking and Coding.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did it!
