Analyst Week 8

Hi there! It’s Elena and I’m the analyst this week, so I’ll be in charge of reflecting about this task and tell you what we have learnt about it. The task for this week was creating a PLE diagram as if we were teachers in the post COVID time, in which we had to investigate three different tools that we can use in our Personal Learning Environment. In this case, they were YouTube, Twitter and Wakelet. Having said that, I’ll move on to the reflection of the task as well as telling you some aspects of our working time.

It is true that we have had our ups and downs during the realization of this task, but I’ll start with the worst part of Task 8.

So regarding the worst moment of the task, I consider it was the confusion to properly understand what we had to do exactly for this task. We were not sure whether what we were doing was what we were being asked or not, so we felt a bit lost during the whole procedure of this task.

For this reason, this week was particularly tough, since we didn’t know where to start and how to do the activity. Moreover, we were a bit concerned about the exposition of the task, especially the star, as there was a possibility of us having done the task incorrectly.

As for the best part, it was the gratification of having completed the task properly, which meant that all the work we had done was right even though we were feeling unsure while doing it.

Something we have learnt during this task was the importance of the PLE (Personal Learning Environment). We all have a PLE, but not all of us know about it or understand how it works, and not knowing its existence doesn't mean it’s not there. Moreover, it is essential to know how it functions in order to achieve a better and more effective learning, because by understanding it, we will recognize our best and worst ways of learning. So if we want to make our learning more functional, we first need to acknowledge our PLE so that we know what methods or tools are the best for us.

We hope you have enjoyed it, and thanks for reading our blog. See you! :)
