Translator Week 6

Hello everyone!! It’s Elena and I’m the translator this week, so I’ll be in charge of choosing 5 words to describe the task we had to do this week. After that, I’ll propose a question regarding the main defects that we could find within the topic of the task, which I’ll answer right after. Therefore, the five words that I’ve selected are the following ones:

- Bloom Taxonomy: it shows the main educational objectives in a hierarchical way. At the base of the pyramid we find remembering, which is followed by understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. Therefore, the Bloom Taxonomy is essential when it comes to elaborating a task so that every teacher can provide a regular base of evaluating and organizing the

- Networks: during this task, we have explored a large variety of educational tools that are really helpful for the scholar environment. In our case, we have chosen Remember the milk, Quandary, Vocabulary and Canva. Some examples that our classmates have given to us are Knightlab, Google maps, Google docs and Genial.ly.

- Innovation: it is essential when doing a task in order to make the activities more fun and different so that we switch off from the regular basis. This way, when doing tasks, innovative applications make us have more inspiration to complete them. One example is the tool “Vocabulary”, in which the student learns English in a more enjoyable and interactive way.

- Interaction: every tool involves interaction and participation from the learner. It is an essential performance in order to make education productive, especially when using these tools in a practical way.

- Adaptability: when preparing this task, we had to be able to adapt the contents of all of them and integrate them in one single activity. It is crucial that they all have a connection in order to make a more succeeding and efficient learning.

Question: Which is the main issue that we can find when combining different tools into one activity and how could we solve it?

In the first place, one of the problems that could appear is the difficulty to be able to link all the independent contents into one single activity. In order to do so, we would have to think about the things they have in common and how we could make a relationship between them. Therefore, they all should have a sense to make learning simple, as linking all the contents will make it more structured and coherent.
